Day 5 - Sleepy in Santa Fe

After driving literally all night long, we arrived in New Mexico to see a AMAZING sunrise and were very excited to see a rest stop oasis out in the middle of the desert. Andrew was so grateful to get out and stretch until he saw the signs that said "Watch Out for Rattlesnakes," LOL.

We were in awe of how beautiful the landscape was in between the cities.

We ventured into downtown Santa Fe, parked the car, and explored on foot. We can across dozens of beautiful art galleries, sculpture, architecture, and shops. We visited a variety of Cathedrals, Chapels, and other tourist attractions in the area.

Our next stop was the Quivira Coalition where Kim was able to interview the director, Courtney White, for her Master's Practicum Project. The Coalition focuses on "promoting economical, ecological, and social health on western range landscapes." Andrew enjoyed a much needed nap while Kim was conducting the interview.

After that, we headed 20 miles north to The Permaculture Institute, where Kim did another video interview, this time with director, Scott Pittman. The Permaculture Institute focuses on education for ecological lifestyles, caring for people, and the earth.

Finally, after a long, exhausting day, we drove down to Flagstaff, AZ for the night.
